Afterwards, we will adjourn to attend Bella Galleria, a very special Gallery and Boutique walk in downtown Pleasanton - complete with gift certificates, special receptions, book signings, and more. That evening we will all meet again at the Amador Theatre for The ZNE ConvenZioNE Show - a very special evening hosted by Michele Beschen of HGTV/DIY Channel's B Original, with a program that will include songs, special presentations, and a screening of the documentary - 1,000 Journals.
On Sunday, August 24, we will have a day long sales event - Art Paperie and Pleasantries- with 30+ hand selected artists, craftspersons, and purveyers of vintage goodies and fine art supplies. All event registrants will be invited to attend a special VIP Admission Hour prior to the general public, and during which time all vendors will offer all their items for a minimum of 10% off the regular sales prices.
We are also very excited to announce that the incredible folk-rock singer Jon Troast will be our musician in residence during the entirety of ZNE ConvenZioNE 2008. He will be providing a lovely live music backdrop during our opening luncheon, and group dinner on Saturday night - as well as performing selected songs during the ZNE ConvenZioNE Show on Friday and at Art, Paperie and Pleasantries on Sunday. Wow!

Our second year event has been planned to incorporate the suggestions gleaned from our first year event - namely: Bigger! Better! Longer! It is hard to believe that we could improve on our incredible first year itinerary, but listen to what we have planned for 2009!
Wednesday April 29th will be our registraton day, and we will repeat our wonderful Bella Galleria event, during which Downtown Pleasanton literally rolls out the red carpet for our event registrants.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday AND Sunday will provide 4 days of fabulous workshops being provided by the most amazing instructor roster - with over 30 instructors joining us in 2009, travelling from all over the country to be here! A full lunch will be provided for all attendees on both days.
On Friday May 1, we'll celebrate with a wonderful Banquet, and the second annual ZNE ConvenZioNE Show, with a program that is sure to delight. We have lots of fun guests and suprises in store, and our keynote speaker will be Michele Beschen, host of HGTV's B Original and Courage to Create.
On Saturday and Sunday May 2 and May 3, in addition to more opportunities to take workshops - we will be hosting an extraordinary two day vendor fair - the second annual Art Paperie & Pleasantries event, with 200 + hand selected artists, craftspersons, and purveyors of vintage goods and art supplies. As is tradition with the ZNE ConvenZioNE event, the Art Paper and Pleasantries event will be open to the public, but all ConvenZioNE registrants will be able to attend during a VIP hour on both Saturday and Sunday, one hour earlier than the general public and during which time all items being sold will be offered at a minimum of 10% off.
Also, new to the ConvenZioNE lineup in 2009, we will be introducing Regalo Per Me (which translates, from Italian to "Gift For Me" - hourly make and take sessions with various instructors. Regalo Per Me will take place on Saturday and Sunday May 2 and May 3, during which time you will glean new skills and walk away with a finished product. Regalo Per Me is open to the public at $20 per session.Registered ConvenZioNE attendees receive a ticket for one FREE Regalo Per Me session, and a $5 discount off any other sessions they might choose to take!
Another wonderful addition to our event in 2009 is the Partito Di Mezzi Media Roundtable, on Saturday evening, May 2. The night will start with another wonderful group dinner, followed by a once in a lifetime opportunity to sit down and hear from top industry professionals in the Print, Publishing and Televison arts and craft media. Learn how and why images, stories, and ideas are successfully pitched and submitted to each of the media genres. You will leave this extraordinary session better equipped and ready to submit your own artwork, book ideas, and television craft show segments, to the right people at the right time!
Finally, we will also be adding a few local area attraction offsite trips for interested ConvenZioNE attendees in 2009. Offsite trips will include wine tasting in the nearby Livermore Valley, horse back riding at a local stable, and/or a spa day at a nearby spa.
