ZNE ConvenZioNE is a combination art reatreat and convention.  The event is inclusive of workshops offered by renowned art instructors from all over the United States, evening programs featuring arts and craft celebrity speakers and muscians, and a multiple day vendor fair which is open to the public.  ConvenZioNE separates itself from other art retreats by fostering a sense of community in its participants through associated philanthopic efforts and group activities, while providing a world class art and craft education experience.

2009 marks ConvenZioNE's second year, following a spectacular inaugural event that took place in August of 2008.  Instructors, registrants, and event VIPs alike heralded the inaugural event as informative, exciting, and joy-filled.  We look forward to continuing to build and improve our event as we move forward into our second year.

ConvenZioNE 2008 boasted over 150 participants, not including those who attended the public portions of the event such as our film screening of 1,000 Journals, and our vendor fair - Art Paperie and Pleasantries.

ConvenZioNE 2009 expects to easily quadruple that amount, with two days of art instruction offered, three evening programs, and a two day vendor fair.  Because the vendor fair is open to the public, we expect the immediate reach of our event to be in the thousands.  This does not include those who will be exposed to our national print advertising and internet promotions.

ConvenZioNE is an event that celebrates creativity and the arts.  The appeal is extensive as it offers resources for both new emerging artists and crafters as well as well established professional artists.  The evening programs are geared toward the general public.  An affiinity with our event is easily established across market geographics, sponsorship of our event is a effective way to reach a broadbased market of active attendees.

Newspaper / Printed Press

The inaugural ConvenZioNE event in 2008 received significant print press, including a two page full color article in the Livermore Independent, a one page full color Living Section first page article in the Pleasanton Weekly (published August 8, 2008) , and color promo spots running in Craft Magazine and Stampingington's Somerset Studio magazine.

In 2009 we expect increased press, with regular press releases set to go out six months prior to the event and onward. 

Radio

Media Sponsor Diva Craft Lounge regulary promoted ConvenZioNE during its summer 2008 show schedules, and provided a banner and uplink to the ConvenZioNE website, on their own site.  Diva Craft Lounge is set to continue this media sponsorship through this coming year - and has already begun its on-air promotions of the 2009 event.

Circa Arte, ZNE's own publicly accessible Blog Talk Radio podcast broadcasts on a regular basis and promotes ZNE ConvenZioNE as an event, as well as event sponsors and artist interviews.  Circa Arte can be listened to live, or downloaded after the fact.  Past interviewees have included Claudine Hellmuth, Lesley Riley, Ali Edwards, and many more.  The 2009 Circa Arte schedule will continue to include interviews with prominent arts and craft celebrities.

Online Publicity

Because ZNEart.com is an online community, our internet reach is far and wide.  In 2009, all of our 30+ instructors, and dozens of vendors, have a website, blog, or both.  In addition, the majority of ZNE's 2,000+ worldwide members have blogs, websites, or both.  ZNE leverages this extraordinary marketing opportunity by writing cross-promotion into every instructor and vendor contract, and working with celebrities such as Michele Beschen of HGTV/DIY Channel's B Original television series on online ConvenZioNE promotions.
